Nanomaterials have a wide range of applications in the field of refractory materials, which can improve the performance and application range of refractory materials. 1) Furnace lining: nano-oxide materials such as alumina, silicon oxide and titanium oxide can be used to manufacture refractory furnace lining. The high surface area and fine particle size of nanomaterials can improve the compactness and thermal stability of refractory materials. 2) Furnace insulation: nanomaterials can be used to prepare high-performance furnace insulation. For example, nano-alumina and silica can be used to make nano-composite thermal insulation coatings with low thermal conductivity and excellent thermal insulation properties. 3) Refractory coating: nanomaterials can be used to manufacture refractory coatings to improve the material's high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance and wear resistance. Nano-ceramic particles and nano-metal oxides can be added to the coating, increasing the hardness and durability of the coating. 4) Nanofiber reinforcement: nano-oxide fiber materials, such as ceramic nanofibers, can be used to enhance the mechanical properties of refractory materials. The high specific surface area and strength of nanofibers make them ideal for reinforcement materials that can improve the tensile strength and impact toughness of refractories. 5) Furnace catalyst carrier: nanomaterials can be used as a carrier of furnace catalyst to improve the dispersion and activity of the catalyst. Nano-oxides can provide a large number of active surfaces to increase the contact area and reaction rate of the catalytic reaction.
