Nanomaterials in oil extraction can improve extraction efficiency, reduce environmental impact and increase the sustainability of oil field development.
1) Nanoflooding recovery fluid: Nanomaterials, such as nanoalumina, nanosilica, etc., can be added to oilfield water injection as enhancers to improve the water injection effect. Nanoparticles can fill fractures and pores and increase oil reservoir permeability, thereby improving oil recovery.
2) Nano-adsorbent: Nano-materials, such as nano-titanium oxide, nano-alumina, etc., have large specific surface area, adsorption capacity and photocatalytic decomposition of organic matter activity, and can be used as adsorbents and photocatalytic decomposers to remove pollutants in oil field wastewater. organic matter and heavy metal ions. Nano-adsorbents can improve water purification efficiency and reduce environmental pollution.
3) Nano-blocking agent: Nano-materials, such as nano-calcium oxide, nano-alumina, etc., can be used to seal cracks and pores in oil wells to prevent oil and gas leakage. Nano-blocking agents can work stably in high-temperature and high-pressure environments, and have high blocking ability and long-term stability.
4) Well wall stabilizer: Nanomaterials can be used as well wall stabilizers to fill the cracks and pores of the oil well wall by forming nanoparticles to enhance the stability of the well wall and prevent the invasion of drilling fluid and the collapse of the oil well wall.
5) Drilling fluid improver: Nanomaterials can be added to drilling fluid to improve its performance. The addition of nanoparticles can enhance the viscosity and shear resistance of drilling fluid, and improve the carrying capacity and cleaning ability of drilling fluid in the wellbore.
6) Reservoir monitoring and assessment: Nanosensors can be applied to reservoir monitoring and assessment. Nanomaterials can be prepared into highly sensitive sensors that can be used to detect parameters such as temperature, pressure, fluid properties, etc. in oil wells and provide real-time status information of the reservoir.
